Addiction and Untouchability Eradication Programme :- Moreover‚ the programmes for mass-meal were often arranged in the Harijan Mahollas (Streets) for eradication of untouchability from the village with the co-operation of both Nootan Bharati and village Panchayat. In which‚ the presidents of district Panchayat was also invited. The workers of the institution had undertaken the social activities in Harijanvas (Habitat of Harijans) from 1958 to 1961. Thus unique illustration was provided by eradicating untouchability as such. Nootan Bharati and village Panchayat could also succeed in people awareness programmes to eradicate the nuisance of liqueur addiction among the people. for this the district Panchayat awarded first prise to the Madana Gram Panchayat for its great success on prohibition.

The Madana village Panchayat had given 20 acres land for educational purpose and 8.12 acres land for building construction of the institution respectively. the village Panchayat also helped financially to Nootan Bharati every year for the educational purpose during its early days.

The village Panchayat arranged the dust bins on the public places of the village for sanitation. Also made the urinal everywhere in the village. The scavengers would keep cleanliness in the village. For doing these all activities the villages Panchayat had created income by collecting house tax‚ water tax and land revenue.

The Madana village Panchayat established a unique illustration of ideal village Panchayat during the period of five years‚ i.e. from 1961 to 1965 to which the people still remember it after 46 years. Because the village never got such a transparent and smooth administration after that.

Poverty Eradication Programmes :-

The institution helped the homeless and economically backward classes to get free of cost land from the Panchayat and also helped them to obtain assistance from the Government to construct houses there and established a suburb consisting of about 100 families. Which is known as Rampara at present. The institution also helped the economically weak classes of the neighboring Samdhi Motavas village to construct houses with economic assistance of the Government. The place is known as Krisnanagar Presently.

Service Co-Operative Society :-

There was a service Co-Operative Society in the village in 1961. The institution handed over the administration of the said Society to the youth of the village in 1961 to improve economic condition of the farmers of the village. The farmers got credits from the bank through this Society for their larges scale development of agriculture.

The milk co-operative Society was also formed in the village for developing the milk business of the cattle resource. Moreover‚ a village co-operative Society was also formed between Madana and Samadhi Nadhanivas Village. This society was formed to improve the economic condition of the people who where looting Madana village earlier and later on joined the main stream of the Society. The employees credit and consumers co-operative Society had also been established in 1980 to provide economic assistance to the employees of the institution.

The farmer credit card :-

90 Farmers of Madana village got loans amounting to Rs. 80 lacks from Dena Bank‚ Gadh for development of agricultural during the year 1999-2000 under the scheme of Farmer credit card.

Khadi Gramodyog :-

The farmers of Madana village and surrounding areas were not having the wells for agriculture in 1959‚ because there was no water below the ground and whatever water was available was not worth for the agriculture as it was hard water. So‚ during the rainy season rain based farming activities where undertaken. It could not provide sufficient income for livelihood. There were no other alternatives for livelihood in the village. So‚ unemployment and poverty were prevailing in the village. The rate of illiteracy and ignorance was very high in the village. With a view to avail employment to the unemployed youths‚ the institution started the activities of peti Rentia and Ambar Charkha from 1959 by getting economic assistance from the Mumbai state khadi gramodhyog Board. These activities were started in Madana and its surrounding villages Dalwada‚ Salla‚ Patosan‚ Sasam.

Charmodhyog (Leather Industries) :-

The tanners of this area were tanning the skin of dead animals in public places. They threw flesh and bones on the open public places. So the vulture and dogs used to eat them. Even the tanners were eating the flesh of the dead animals. as a result of it‚ the public health was deteriorating. Due to which epidemic was spreading. to save the people from all these nuisances the institution started leather industry from 1965 with the assistance of the Gujarat State Khadi gramodhyog Board at a place 2-k.m. away from the village. wherein‚ compost fertilizer was prepared from flesh and bones. The dead animals were brought to the centre by tractor trolley. So that skins thereof were not damaged. The skin was being tanned. the unemployed were getting subsistence by this profession. This scheme was run from 1965 to 1975.

Small Oil Mill :-

With a view to avail pure edible oil as per requirement of the institution‚ the first small oil mill run by an ox was started in 1962. Thereafter‚ it was replaced by the oil mill run by electricity. A small oil mill run by electricity with modern technology has been started from 1994. By which the institution dose avail oil as per its requirement. A condiments industry was also started from 1994 for pure condiments as per requirement of the institution.

Sarvodaya Yojana (Scheme for all round upliftemnt of the people) :-

The institution demanded for a ‘Sarvodaya Yojana (Scheme for all round upliftemnt of the people) from the Government in 1965. The Government Sanctioned the ‘Sarvodaya Yojana’ for economic‚ social and educational development of the weaker classes of the people of nearby 30 villages of Madana. The said scheme was run upto 1972. The institution gave economic assistance to the economically backward classes and homeless people to construct houses under this scheme. Moreover the programmes of (Improve Agriculture) were also introduced.

Moreover‚ the district education committee assigned the administration of the schools of Madana‚ Salla‚ Dalwada‚ Vedancha‚ Patosan‚ Sasam‚ villages to the institution from 1965 to 1972 for increasing the quality of education by transitioning the primary schools of the villages into basic education. under this scheme knitting‚ weaving industry was also started in these schools for educational purpose.

The Government of Gujarat, through a resolution on 27/2/03 has again sanctioned ‘Sarvodaya Yojana’ for Nootan Bharati.

Women Development :-

The women of our country have not tasted fruits of self-government yet even after the period of 57 years of our independence. The institution has been undertaking the programmes of people education for last 46 year to remove injustices meted out to them. The institution has started the women development scheme centre in 1994 with concurrence of the central Government for development of Minor girls. Moreover‚ the women legal aid Centre was also being run for legal aid to the women from 1995-96 to 2003-04. Through which‚ a number of developmental activities are done for the women. Seven Indira Development centre are run in seven villages from 1999 under the Indira women scheme. There are 42 groups in it. 33 groups are doing the work of savings.

Health Centre :-

The institution started a small dispensary in 1983 as it got the M.B.B.S. doctors. There after the institution prepared a project of Rs. 32 lacs for offering health services at home to population of one lac living near Nootan Bharati under U.S. Aid scheme of United State of America. This was approved by the central government in 1985. A provision of incurring 75% expenditure by the government and 25% by the institution was made.

With the assistance of this project a hospital named Smt.Vidhyaben Depchandbhai Gardi and a mobile dispensary have been started in its main centre from 1985. Three sub-centre were also started to offer health and medical services to 30-villages within the area of 15 km. at home. A provision of three ambulance vans was also made to offer emergency services to the patients of remote villages. A hospital having capacity of 10-beds is also being run from 1987 with assistance of the government of Gujarat‚ which possesses all the necessary equipment and qualified staff.

Rural Sanitation Programme :-

A Rural Sanitation Programme has been introduced from 1991 to maintain the health of people. Most of the diseases are created due to polluted water. Slum dwellers in the villages and cities go to the open land for naturals call as they have not got the facilities of lavatories. Due to which water and food get polluted. to save the people from it‚ a scheme of Rs. 1 crore from UNICEF was undertaken for building lavatories and imparting health education to the people of 100 villages in Palanpur taluka. As the scheme was completed after one year the government held its assessment through a neutral organization of Ahmedabad. in assessment 96% lavatories were found being utilized. Thereafter‚ the Gujarat Water Supply and Sewerage Board assigned the implementation work of rural sanitation programme in both villages and cities of Banaskantha‚ Mehsana‚ and Sabarkantha district in North Gujarat in 1996-97 to Nootan Bharati. So‚ the institution has given economic assistance to the economically weaker sections in the said area for construction of lavatories.

Energy saving Scheme :-

The institution has undertaken the Programme of biogas plant to save the trees and to maintain the health of women cooking food. Under this programme gas-plants are made for the people having cattle resource through the government assistance. In this bio-gas-plant‚ the women prepare food by obtaining gas from Gobar (made of cattle-waste) of the cattle. And gruel extracted from the gas-plant is utilized as the excellent fertilizer for agriculture.

Rural house Building Technology :-

The institution has constructed many buildings at its head quarter Madana by applying rural house building technology for saving energy and building houses from the local materials. And also constructed a single storage building with only indigenous files without iron‚ cement etc. at its sub-centre samadhi Motawas. These are the aspiratory building for the others.

Service of Handicapped :-

There is a huge class of Handicapped persons in the society. Although they are human beings‚ they lead their lives as destitute and helpless due to disability. The institution gave away them tricycles or crutches of as per their requirements with the assistance of the government in 1985 so as to make them self-sufficience. the little children are going to the schools easily for their studies with the help of these instruments and the elders can also do the independent business for their livelihood.

An activity of giving assistance for the equipments like tricycle and crutches to the disabled has been going on from 1994 with the co-operation of an international institution named “Friend of all” and Nootan Bharati.
